Responsibilities and Scope

As a Project Engineer Fluids, you will play a key role in the successful execution of projects for the fluids department. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading customer projects in fluid technology from concept to implementation within the scope of "Green Steel Transition Projects" (decarbonization of iron and steel production)
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Providing technical support and advice to designers throughout the engineering process; monitoring the progress of design work and intervening when necessary to ensure project objectives are met
  • Preparing technical specifications for the procurement of fluid technology equipment (such as piping, tanks, pumps) and ensuring compliance with technical requirements and standards
  • Working closely with other departments, including project management, mechanical engineering, technology, E&A, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Coordinating collaboration between different teams to meet interdisciplinary requirements

Education and Qualifications

  • Completed technical education (HTL, university of applied sciences) with relevant professional experience (minimum 5 years)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Project management experience in plant engineering, especially in piping design
  • Coordination experience
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and EN13480
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written
